Blue Crown Conure Rescue

This is Merlin, a Blue Crown Conure. Merlin was brought to us as a parakeet. He was somewhere around 15 years old as the owners could not remember his age. He was fed wild bird seed from Wal-mart and was only given food and water for about an hour a day.

As you can see Merlin is yet another case of severe neglect. There is a high probablility that he will never regrow all of the feathers back. Merlin is a very sweet bird and loves attention.

UPDATE: Merlin is doing great! He is still missing MANY feathers and those will probably never grow back. He has a heater nearby to help keep him warm so he doesn’t get sick. He is a great eater and really a wonderful bird, we love him dearly!

Tropical Pet Cove is proud to announce we are doing

Birthday parties and shows.

Tropical Pet Cove offers many different packages for Birthday parties and group shows and events. We can accommodate large and small groups, and we have so many wonderful animals to hold, touch, and view, learn about, etc.

We make our parties, shows and events interactive, therefore everyone is included and everyone gets a turn. We strive to make every person feel included and make everyone know they are important. Even the parents can get a turn holding the animals, if they choose to.

Of course, if there are ANY animals that you prefer us to exclude from the show, please let us know in advance and we will honor your requests.

ATTENTION Teachers and Faculty Members: We offer shows and events in Schools and Day Cares as well and will work around your schedule. Let us know your assembly schedules and we will do our best to meet your needs. We would be happy to work with you and look forward to helping in any way we can!

Our goal is not only to introduce children to new and exciting animals and to give them an opportunity to touch and see numerous amazing exotic creatures but also to educate them and give them an understanding of each animal. Of course, we base the information we give on the age group of the children we are working with.

Our Birthday Party, Show and Event schedule is flexible. Let us know what you need and we will do our best to work it out for you!
